In films, you might not always be aware of the music or the various sounds in it, but you would miss them if they were not there. In a related way, poor or inappropriate sound/music selection changes the visual experience of something - just imagine cartoonish sounds being added to this video? Sure, I get that the person who put the music to this probably wasn't thinking too much about the effect the music will have. Muting the sound isn't a solution.
